Chambers 1

Originally built in 1884 as the Municipal Council building, it was also used as the Town Hall and the Scout Hall. As time passed this stately room underwent several renovations and changes of use but many of the original features have survived the years and aged gracefully. Large and detailed timber sash windows show off the craftsmanship of the day and the original slab timber floor tells the stories of it's age. The town's largest strongroom, built within the chambers in 1939, has been rebirthed as a very unique luxury bathroom. There is a fireplace in the lounge area, positioned near the king size bed, to keep you cosy. The room also includes a split system air-conditioning unit, to keep our guests comfortable in the warmer seasons. An espresso machine and grinder can be found in the well equipped gourmet kitchen. It is a one room studio-style suite.

Chambers 2

In 1939 the Council Chambers got a major overhaul, adding an art deco facade and a grand chamber room, as well as offices for the town clerk and health engineer. This side of the building has been restored as the Chambers 2 suite. Original leadlight windows let the warm morning light into the stately grand chamber room. This room now contains a lounge and a dining suite, as well as a large, well equipped gourmet kitchen. A log fireplace will keep things cosy as well as a split system Air-condition. In the seperate bedroom you will find a king size bed, vintage timber windows and a second split system air-condition. A deep, freestanding bath, is the centrepiece of the large luxury bathroom in the room next door. Chambers 2 has been designed for a couple, but has a fold out queen size sofa bed to sleep up to four. It is a three room apartment-style lodging.

The Shed

Located in the back yard of the Chambers next to the courtyard and firepit, The Shed was the original horse and cart fire station in town but it has now been transformed into a raw and rustic multi purpose space.

Perhaps a family get together or small function space, pre event drinks, long table dinner, cooking classes, workshops, conference space... you name it. With a fully reconditioned 1940’s wood oven, Italian coffee machine, gas burners, refrigeration and a pot bellied stove, The Shed is a super flexible space that can accomodate your plans.
