Originally built in 1884 as the Municipal Council building, it was also used as the Town Hall and the Scout Hall. As time passed this stately room underwent several renovations and changes of use but many of the original features have survived the years and aged gracefully. Large and detailed timber sash windows show off the craftsmanship of the day and the original slab timber floor tells the stories of it's age. The town's largest strongroom, built within the chambers in 1939, has been rebirthed as a very unique luxury bathroom. There is a fireplace in the lounge area and another beside the king size bed to keep you cosy. Chambers 1 has been designed for a couple but can sleep four with a fold out lounge. An espresso machine and grinder can be found in the well equipped gourmet kitchen. It is a one room studio-style suite.
